Our article title is “Leveraging Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) for Enhanced Process Control in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Steelmaking”, a collaborative research between Luxmet and the Process Metallurgy Research Unit at the University of Oulu. Luxmet’s research explores how OES data can improve EAF process control, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and enhanced energy efficiency.
Our study showcases the effectiveness of ArcSpec, in providing real-time insights into scrap melting progress within the EAF. ArcSpec enables operators to make informed decisions, leading to optimized furnace operations and significant energy savings.
