How has Luxmet changed in the past year?
At the end of 2019, we completed ArcSpec’s years of product development and were able to start aggressively marketing ArcSpec globally. Helped by the investment round that was completed a year ago, we have been able to speed up this work by recruiting new employees into our marketing and sales team. We have now reached the stage where we can deliver systems on a large scale.
How do you think the year 2020 went for Luxmet despite the difficult world situation?
2020 has been exceptional and challenging. Travel restrictions have delayed new installations and face-to-face meetings have not been possible. However, we have been able to take advantage of this time by focusing on research and development work as well as investing in sales. This year has provided many challenges, but by adapting the way we work, we have been able to make the most of it.
What are the main goals for Luxmet for the next year?
Next year, we aim to invest even more in sales and launching new installations. The Swedish and Korean markets are opening for us at the beginning of next year. And we are also initiating discussions in several other markets. Our goal is to increase our global sales and we will intensify our cooperation with our partners around the world. With their help, we will be able to achieve our goal of global growth.
Can you tell anything about the new projects that Luxmet has for next year?
Our ArcSpec development work continues, which will bring new features and benefits to our customers. We also have other interesting projects coming, therefore stay tuned!
How do you think that the steel industry will change in the year 2021?
Pandemic will be under control next year and as a results demand for steel is likely to grow significantly. This will put pressure on our customers to increase production as well as improve production efficiency. Increasing production, improving efficiency, and reducing CO2 emissions are likely to be the dominant themes for the steel industry in 2021. With ArcSpec, we can provide help with these themes by increasing production efficiency while reducing emissions.
