Ville-Valtteri Visuri has joined Luxmet as a Business Development Specialist to contribute to Luxmet´s growth strategy. Visuri has over eight years of experience from metallurgical research, project management and acquisition of funding from national and international sources. Most recently, he has served as an advisor at Teknoventure Oy and worked as a postdoctoral researcher and deputy head of Process Metallurgy Research Unit at University of Oulu. He has also spent over a year as a visiting researcher at RWTH Aachen University Aachen University. “We bring value to our clients by offering online measurement and control systems that help save energy and materials in EAF steelmaking”. Having authored close to 50 journal or conference papers on converter and ladle metallurgy, Visuri has experienced the need for new measurements also in his own modelling work. “Luxmet technology has plenty of potential in converter and ladle metallurgy”, says Visuri, adding that “a better knowledge of the dynamic behavior would push the boundaries of modelling and control even further”. “Our TempSpec system provides a realiable temperature measurement for converter off gas”, says Visuri.
